Happy monday readers! What a lovely weekend it was! I took some time to clean up the house and took pictures of my crib for the blog. It’s our Vintage living ticket part deux! You will notice I love sleek and minimalism design since I stock SO MANY clothes a gizmos in the basement!

J’en ai profité pour faire un peu de ménage à la casa et par le fait même prendre quelques photos de mon intérieur pour faire suite au billet « Vintage living » publié il y a quelques mois. Vous remarquerez que j’aime le design minimaliste et contemporain, puisque que j’accumule tellement de stock dans notre entrepôt et atelier, je souhaite que mon intérieur soit le plus « slick » possible! Presque tous les meubles sont vintage ou d’occasions, trouvés dans des magasins usagés ou chez Showroom Mtl et Homatuvu. “I started buying vintage originally because I couldn’t afford the kinds of designer clothes that appealed to me, and I saw that many of the designers I liked best were referencing the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s. So, for instance, I would see a Vivienne Westwood suit in a magazine, and then I would buy a 1940s suit and have it tailored to my corseted waist and padded hips. I always felt like a very ordinary looking girl, and I found that dressing in a unique way made me feel less ordinary and more glamorous.
“I love vintage clothes because I like to imagine the story behind each piece. Who wore it, where did she wear it, and who did she meet? Was it her favorite hat? Did she save up for it? I love the mystery of vintage clothes.”
